Vasyakina, Oksana

(*1989)

The Russian poet, writer and curator of a range of cultural projects, was born in the Siberian town of Ust-Ilimsk. She graduated from the Maxim Gorky Literature Institute in Moscow (2016). She won the Licej poetry award (2019). In 2016 she published her first collection of poetry Women’s Prose. In 2019 the AST publishing house published the cycle of her poetic texts Wind of Fury. In 2022 the Novoe literaturnoe obozrenie publishing house published her novel Steppe that deals with her father, long-distance driver, and the 1990s in the Russian province.
